The design of each Sewing Pattern will center around themes of body positivity, celebrating the now, personal growth, self love, anti-perfectionism, and self agency. Each Pattern will be inspired by a genre of modern “escapism,” such as Cottagecore.
Paper Dolls addresses the need for fashion forward/stylish clothes for plus size people, by encouraging self agency and craft. So plus size people can embrace their inner-self, inner-style without the limitations of picking through what society produces for them and deems acceptable for their bodies. And hopefully by creating their own unique piece of clothing, they will feel confident to express themselves.
